Actually creating a resume cv writing that “sells” it does not require any special skills, so I try to share my experience so far on some of the terms are almost always found in the CV or resume that has the characteristics of the “sell” the ability and competence of their owners.

A. Neat and Easy to Read

This is the main requirement of a CV or resume that “sells”, because frankly there is nothing more frustrating than reading a CV or resume its cluttered layout.

Although my friends have the ability and competence are very good, but they become useless if the person reading your CV or resume my friends suddenly become sore eyes when she saw letters with abnormal size, spacing is too tight, English spelling is wrong or margin left the forward-backward alias not consistent.

2. Provide More Information

CV or resume that “sells” always provide full information to those who read it. Ranging from personal data, educational background, work experience history, who had followed the training, certification of (relevant) owned and active extra-curricular activities that followed.

3. Presented In Brief

This may be a bit contrary to the terms of the number 2 above, but it’s not. I mean this, CV or resume that “sells” it had to provide full information, but that does not mean CV or resume my friends have up to 19 pages in length (this is a true story – a record to this day the longest CV I have ever read length of 19 page).

If you can provide important information in full in a few pages would be very helpful, because the time needed to read it too so much shorter.

Simple rule: never make a CV or resume more than 3 pages!

4. Consistency Career

It is common knowledge that this one is one of the key things that determine to be contacted by the company or the headhunter to the next stage of recruitment.

Examples like this, if there is an engineer at a company that since the beginning of his career decided to become a specialist in the HSE (Health Safety & Environment) and then the next seven years he was still pursue the same specialization, it is likely he would be an advantage to be recruited than other engineer HSE also with a background in early years, but then shifted course to other areas in subsequent years.
